Concepting away..hurts eyes

THE RUNDOWN
K so first look at my concept work for our 1st project... we were given a few options....and im guessing a few people will be doin a space outpost... so basically i dug around on the net for about an hour or so to find some reference images for all the options we were given...


So my first idea for a space out post was fairly standard in my mind...umm basically overgrown and a possibility of it being abondoned.. it took a while to work everything in nicely and took sum manual editing using the pallete but i think it came up looking more realistic then i had hoped for..

INCORPERATING GAME ELEMENTS!
im a lil worried of the functionality of it all though, and what oppertunities there is for this environment in a game level... i found that so far coming up with a strategic environment in which u can add items that can enhance gameplay has been quite difficult.. and thus i would suggest drawing ur environment from a top down view as soon as u can so u can get a scope on where there could be possible gaps of empty planes in which a feild lays....unless of course ur feild has tall grass and provides sum form of use...and also so u can see where to make points of interest and to lead the user into certain areas of the environment...

i think this project may entail a lot more planning than sum will antipate.. and so with that in mind i would also say start writing things down, and use a design process.... i will post 2 moro on that just in case theres people who haven't done graphics or design, it can help to really flesh out sum good ideas u may not think of otherwise...

Newho enough from me... and my fairly standard post hopefully can add sum more useful advice soonish.
